Mid-Life Isn't a Crisis—It's a Creative Renaissance
BLOOM: A 28-Day Journey of Creative Renewal
I’m what you call a late-bloomer. Can you relate?
It has taken me a long time to let go of limiting self-beliefs and have confidence in what I have to offer. Someone told me recently that it’s a Saturn thing. Whatever it is, something is shifting.
We reach a certain point in life where the old ways of being don't quite fit anymore. The roles we've played, the expectations we've carried, even the dreams we once held... they start to feel like clothes that have gotten too small.
We start to wonder if we can Marie Kondo those skinny jeans and tank tops and donate them to the thrift store. We start to realize we can still feel fabulous and look good in a new skin (that may have a few lines), radiating with confidence rather than people-pleasing.
It's not that anything is wrong. It's that something deeper is calling.
As I navigated my 60th birthday recently, I started to see things from a different vantage point.
Rather than repeating the tiresome refrain I’ve asked ad nauseum for several decades: whatshouldidowithmylife. I’m now asking:
What makes me happy? And how can I do more of that?
I can’t count how many times I’ve re-created my life, in more than sixteen different countries. I know firsthand how transformative it can be to give ourselves permission to explore, to question, to reimagine what's possible.
There's something so satisfying about finishing a successful painting, or hitting "publish" on a piece of writing—but more than that, there's the daily practice of showing up to create a life with intention.
Settling into that mindset takes practice. You have to train your mind to be happy. I know that may sound strange, but ask yourself: how often do you let your complaints, worries or irritations run your day?
Being happy in the midst of a tumultuous time is a choice. You either make that choice, or you don’t.
My husband and I meditate each morning with the intention to clear our minds of the debris of daily life. It helps us to center and ground.
This is what I spent the first part of my life doing: teaching yoga and meditation. I realize more and more how important this meditative training was for my own life, and it’s something I love sharing with others who may feel stuck or lost.
The most important life skill I’ve ever learned is training the mind with meditation. It’s helped me create everything in my life, from a more stable emotional life, to a thriving art career.
It’s also what enabled me to manage the emotions of a troubled childhood, and become a woman mature enough to enjoy a deeply satisfying relationship.
I never thought I would be this woman. I thought I was broken.
But things change.
I have made it a life mission to share these practices to help others who may feel lost or stuck.
I’m working on a new 28 day program that will teach those skills, and mindset updates.
It’s called Bloom.
What is BLOOM?
BLOOM is a 28-day program designed for women navigating big life transitions—those moments when we're ready to shed old stories and step into something new. Each day offers a gentle practice: a guided meditation, visualization, and/or journaling prompt, usually taking no more than 10-30 minutes.
This isn't about fixing anything that's broken. It's about tending to what wants to grow.
Here's what you'll receive daily for 28 days:
A themed practice with journaling prompt
Short guided meditation or visualization
Creative exercises to reconnect with your inner wisdom
Plus ongoing support:
Monthly live "Creative Incubator" sessions
Connect with others in a private chat for accountability and inspiration
Access to a supportive community of women creating their next chapter
Bonus materials:
Downloadable workbook to track your journey
Four additional guided meditation recordings
Founding members get a free 30 minute 1:1 call with me
Even if you don't identify as an artist, you are co-creating your life. BLOOM is designed to help you focus on what truly matters to you and develop practices that support your authentic self-expression.
The 28-day journey includes themes like:
Releasing old narratives that no longer serve
Rediscovering your creative spark
Transforming challenges into wisdom
Setting intentions for your next chapter
Cultivating self-compassion and inner peace
How to join:
BLOOM is available exclusively to paid subscribers of Art of Awakening.
Monthly subscription: $15/month
Annual subscription: $70/year (save $110)

Who is this for?
BLOOM is for women in mid-life who are:
Ready to let go of outdated roles and identities
Navigating a major life transition
Feeling called to rediscover their creativity
Wanting to connect with other women (and men) on similar journeys
Ready to create an inspired next stage of life
This program is pre-recorded, and available immediately after upgrading.
If this feels important to you, trust that instinct. Our deepest transformations often begin with a quiet inner knowing that it's time.
After decades of daily practice, I've learned that the most profound changes happen not through force, but through gentle, consistent attention to what wants to emerge.
If you'd like support in creating meaningful daily habits—and if you'd like to support this publication—I invite you to join us and BLOOM.
